Use of: http://www.actoftraveling.com / “Act of Traveling”

The reading and using of all information on Act of Traveling is of your own free will. If you do not accept the following Terms and Conditions, please stop using this website. Mind you, you will miss out on some great travel content though…

I reserve the right to change any of these Terms and Conditions at any given time on this website. Although looking at my own area of interest (that of solely creating awesome travel stories and photos) that would probably not be done very regularly.

Even though my aim is to provide you with up-to-date information, I make no representations or warranties of any kind (expressed or implied) about the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any information, products, or services contained on Act of Traveling. It’s hard to keep up with the ever-changing world, you know. Prices, addresses, opening hours, phone numbers, travel information, and website addresses, they do change a lot. So please double check before you leave ok?

Should you find any outdated or inaccurate information on this website, please don’t hesitate to contact me! I will correct the information as soon as possible.

Copyright Policy

I have spent hours and hours creating the content on this website. It has always been fun but also tough sometimes. So unless otherwise noted, I (Emiel van den Boomen from Act of Traveling) am the legal copyright holder of all the material (written, multimedia and graphic) on this website, and it may not be used, reprinted, (partially) modified or published without my written consent. Guest bloggers and other contributors (like ones leaving a comment) to Act of Traveling are responsible for their own submitted material.

I love to receive comments from my readers, that always makes my day. But do know that I reserve the rights to edit or delete any comments submitted to Act of Traveling without notice due to: comments deemed to be spam or questionable spam, comments including profanity, comments containing language or concepts that could be deemed offensive, comments that attack a group or person individually. Let’s keep it nice and clean.

I also reserve the right to change the focus of the blog, to shut it down, sell it, change the terms of use (go to a paid platform) at my own discretion.

This is an important one. I am not an official travel agent, neither a travel doctor, lawyer or travel destination expert. All the information provided on Act of Traveling are for general information and entertainment purposes only and is the expressed opinion of myself, Emiel van den Boomen, and not others.

Before I forget: I am Dutch writing in the English language. I do my best but I can’t be held responsible for any offence taken due to translation, interpretation or mistakes in grammar and/or punctuation of my website’s content. Trust you understand…

Privacy Statement

Your privacy is important to me. Any personal and/or contact information provided to me will be kept private. You will not be spammed in any way and I will not sell or disclose your information to any other companies. Act of Traveling collects no personally identifying information (such as name and email address) except when you specifically and knowingly provide the information, for example when you sign up for a newsletter or announcement email, ask to be contacted, or subscribe to services. Any information you provide is used solely for the stated purpose. You may request at any time to be removed from our lists. Act of Travelings’ website may use “cookies” to collect information which is used only to assist in site management and development for statistical purposes. This website contains links to other websites and Act of Traveling is not responsible for the privacy policies of third party websites.

Advertisers and Sponsors

Certain links on this site lead to affiliate (for example advertisers, sponsors) or other websites controlled by other parties over whom Act of Traveling has no control. Therefore, Act of Traveling makes no representation or warranty concerning the content or accuracy of third party information and expressly disclaims any liability therefore. If you purchase a product or service based upon a link from my website, you must take action with that company to resolve any issues, not Act of Traveling.

To help my website expand and to cover costs of running the site some advertising and affiliate links are run on Act of Traveling. Affiliate links earn me a (mind you – very) small commission on any purchases made after clicking on one of these links. I thank you dearly for that and I will do my absolute best to only provide you with information about (travel) products that I truly believe in. All reviews on my website will be presented honestly, you can count on that.

Letters to the Editor

Any letters, e-mails, blog comments, responses on Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter, or questions written directly to me may be used to share with my blogging audience unless specifically requested otherwise. (Part of) these letters or emails, questions or any other feedback may be used in newsletters, blog posts, columns or up-and-coming books. Your feedback and questions only improve the content quality of my website, so thank you for that.

Thank you so much for visiting Act of Traveling and don’t forget to enjoy yourself! Here’s to traveling beyond the guidebook.

I want to thank Nienke Krook from The Travel Tester for inspiration.
